Q: | How do I unpack my RST, there is no separate program for that? |
A: | You needn't. JPVC automatically detects a new RST and unpacks it for
you. Thus a typical first command to run would be
`java jvpc.vpcheck.VPCheck -cpre` |
Q: | How do I make my TRN, there is no separate program for that either? |
A: | Hit 'Save' in the main window, it will save your data as well as build TRN's. Alternatively, you can try K-MakeTurn (17k C-sources), but there is no real reason to do so anymore. |
Q: | What are those numbered directories like GreatGame/23? |
A: | That's the history of your game. That particular directory contains all information from turn 23. To be compatible with other clients, this is plainly RST and TRN, accompanied by phost util*.dat, explorer xyplan*.dat files and all other files you receive each turn; note that result and turn is enough information, all *.dat and *.dis files are superfluous. Of course, JVPC copies the files automatically for you. |
Q: | How do I raise tech-levels? |
A: | That's done automatically when you select parts to build. They are also lowered again when you deselect the parts (just as the part itself is sold). |
